In the End
Without closing my eyes I can see
his final moments,
a grimace;
the cry in blue eyes,
a request
to be let go –
something
I can’t do.
In the end I know –
understand
he will
always
exist.

After re-reading, I realize this has more meanings for me than that for which it was originally written.

The poem is beautiful, losing Einstein so sad, something I didn’t know of until today as I’ve not been on FB much lately…and life goes on, Rusty, a new moment. I hope you enjoy him, in a different and his own way, but as much as your little Steiner.
